Achilleas Kontogouris

CHAIRMAN OF THE BoD

Achilleas is the Chairman of the BoD of Iolcus Investments AIFM. He has over thirty years of professional experience in investment management. Before joining Iolcus Investments, he was head of the asset management function for the NBG Group, responsible for South East Europe. He was also a member of the central investment committee of NBG and of National Insurance. From 1996 to 2007, Achilleas served as CEO of P&K Securities, a firm he co-founded with Lambros Papakonstantinou. Within five years of its inception, P&K Group became the largest independent (non-bank related) house in equities trading, investment banking and asset management in Greece. Prior to this post, he held various executive positions in the financial services industry, as well as in business consulting and banking in Greece and abroad. Achilleas, a certified portfolio manager, holds a bachelor’s degree with distinction in Economics from the University of Thessaloniki and an MBA from INSEAD.
